Press Release Body: UKFast is once again a finalist in the ISPA UK Awards. Winning the award would set new industry records with UKFast becoming the only managed hosting specialist to have won on four consecutive occasions.
The company is in the shortlist of five for the newly created Best Dedicated Hosting category which recognises development at the higher end of the market. The results will be announced at the Marriott Grosvenor Square in London on March 14 2008.
MD Lawrence Jones said: "We are absolutely delighted to be in the final for this category. The last year has seen great data centre advancements and we have welcomed many more businesses onto our network. On the personnel side, we have doubled staff numbers and moved into offices at the top of City Tower, Manchester.
"We now guarantee 100% uptime on our network, with the introduction of the innovative Business Continuity Platform and have grown our defences over 2007 with a clear focus on security."
Also in the running for the prize are Netcetera Limited, Namesco, UK2 and WebFusion. Companies apply to be nominated for the award and the judging process includes three months of extensive server monitoring which tests criteria including availability and performance.
Jones said: "We're up against some strong competition this year from all over the country. And once again it's great to see that the majority of the finalists are from outside of the South East. We wish them all the best."
